The Importance of Soil Health in Pastureland Field Day
The Conservation Partnership in Lawrence Co. is hosting “The Importance of Soil Health in Pasturelands Field Day” on Friday, May 23, 2025 from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at a farm at 1115 E. Kenray Lake Rd., Bedford, IN 47421. Field Day topics include: importance of soil testing pasture and hay ground; ISDA’s soil sampling program; soil test analysis and nutrients needed for quality forage; grazing heights and pasture management; utilizing cover crops in a grazing system; conservation practices for pasturelands. RSVP’s are required by 3:00 pm on Monday, May 19, 2025 to the Lawrence Co. SWCD Office at 812-279-8117 ext. 3. The event is free and includes lunch, but RSVP’s are required. Space is limited.
