Growing In The City Series

We are bringing Marion County residents this series of "Hands-on" workshops to all who are interested in learning about gardening techniques, growing skills to maintain their own gardens, and the best methods to harvest and be a successful gardener. This series will be divided into 4 parts, where you will master your skills to keep your garden thriving this Spring and Summer season.

This is designated to complete beginner participants. Participants are welcome to pick and choose which programs to attend.

SESSION 1

In the first session, you will dive into the essentials of seed starting, preparing your garden space, understanding different soil types, and the benefits of raised beds, in-ground planting, and container gardening. We'll also cover the necessary tools and techniques for effective weed management.
