Nourish Series - Session 5
Diabetic Retinopathy - Prevention, Treatment, and Diet - Diabetic retinopathy is a complication of diabetes that can lead to blindness. Caused by changes in the blood vessels of the retina, diabetic retinopathy is the most common diabetic eye disease. Usually no symptoms are present in the early stages of the disease. As the disease progresses, a person may experience spots in vision or blurred vision.
Nourish Your Eyes - Eating for Your Eye Health - We cannot change our genetic inheritance, but we can exercise and eat a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
As we age, we may not be as active as we used to be. Maybe we have put on a few extra pounds, or we’ve developed health issues such as high blood pressure or diabetes.
The Nourish program provides adults with information and strategies about nutrition. You will learn how to eat more nutritiously and be more physically active to promote health and well-being.
