ServSafe Manager - Clinton County
ServSafe Manager: ServSafe educates food service workers about food safety. ServSafe FoodProtection Manager is their highest certification. It satisfies Indiana requirements to become a
Certified Food Protection manager and focuses on five aspects:
o Foodborne microorganisms and allergens
o Personal hygiene
o Purchasing, receiving, and storage
o Preparing, cooking, and serving
o Facilities, cleaning/sanitation, and managing pests
The 2-day training includes a manual and proctored exam. You must score 70 percent or greater
to earn the certificate. The certification is valid for five years. A photo ID with signature is
required to take the exam (driver license, state ID, student ID, military ID, employee ID, U.S.
green card, or valid passport). This class is held at the Clinton County Extension Office, located at 1111 S. Jackson St, Frankfort, IN. Class will be 9am-noon (Day 1 - Oct 16) and then 8:30am-3pm (Day 2 - Oct 21) with exam from 3pm-5pm (Day 2 - Oct 21). For more inforamtion, please contact Caren Crum at carencrum@purdue.edu.
