Recycling

Exhibit Requirements

  

Beginner (Grades 3-5)


Complete 3 activities as described in the Recycling Manual, complete Recycling Record Sheet, AND one (1) of the following:

  1. Exhibit an article made from recycled materials or an item you have recycled for a new purpose. Article should represent what you have learned in the project. Include the 4-H Craft Information Card (4-H 618a-W).
  2. Exhibit a poster (22”x28”) or notebook explaining something about recycling (example: explaining recycling codes on plastic items, what is recycling, what can be recycled, how to make a compost pile for yard waste, etc.) The poster or notebook should represent what you have learned in the project. Follow the Poster Guidelines outlined in the Benton County 4-H Handbook. 

 

Intermediate (Grades 6-8)  


Complete 3 activities as described in the Recycling Manual, complete Recycling Record Sheet, AND one (1) of the following:

  1. Exhibit an article made from recycled materials or an item you have recycled for a new purpose. Article should represent what you have learned in the project. Include the 4-H Craft Information Card (4-H 618a-W).
  2. Advanced (Grades 9-12)  


Complete 3 activities as described in the Recycling Manual, complete Recycling Record Sheet, AND one (1) of the following:

  1. Exhibit an article made from recycled materials or an item you have recycled for a new purpose. Article should represent what you have learned in the project. Include the 4-H Craft Information Card (4-H 618a-W).
  2. Exhibit a poster (22”x28”) or notebook explaining something about recycling (example: explaining recycling codes on plastic items, what is recycling, what can be recycled, how to make a compost pile for your yard waste, etc.). The poster or notebook should represent what you have learned in the project. Follow the Poster Guidelines outlined in the Benton County 4-H Handbook. 
  3. Exhibit a plan for a recycling project/effort. This could be used as a community service project for your 4-H club or a plan for recycling in your home. Exhibit a poster (22”x28”) or notebook that explains the plan and what you did to implement it. For posters follow the Poster Guidelines outlined in the Benton County 4-H Handbook.
