AG Day at the Allen County Fair

Join us for AG Day at the Allen County Fair on June 18!

 

EDUCATIONAL SESSIONS ARE FREE TO THE PUBLIC GATE ADMISSION IS $5 AFTER 2 PM

 

9:00 AM - DRONE FLYING IN INDIANA (WITH DEMO)
Purdue Extension will cover what it takes to fly a drone in Indiana and demonstrate the use of a drone Demonstration is weather dependent.


10:00 AM - WATER QUALITY IN THE WESTERN LAKE ERIE BASIN
The Allen County Soil and Water Conservation District will cover water quality issues in the WLEB and how the community can help make improvements.


11:00 AM - SOIL SAMPLING BASICS
Purdue Extension will give tips and tricks on properly taking soil samples to help your field, lawn, or garden perform better and potentially help save you money.


1:00 PM - CEDAR CREEK: LOOKING AT USE AND WATER QUALITY
The Saint Joseph River Watershed Initiative will discuss the water uses in the Cedar Creek (recreation, farming, and residential) and the importance of water quality.


2:00 PM - DRONE DEMONSTRATION
Purdue Extension demonstration of drone use in agriculture. This program is weather dependent.
