The Start Local, Go Global! workshop is focused on civic engagement topics of interest to high school students. Held in conjunction with 4-H Academy @ Purdue, this workshop provides students with a chance to better understand their local, county, and state government officials' roles and responsibilities. Students will identify a topic of local interest, research the topic, and prepare a proposal to present to a panel of government officials. A tour of county government facilities is included. Students will also learn about cultural diversity, international relations and related opportunities.
