Beginning Farmer Workshops

Are you a newer farmer or interested in starting a farming business? If so, the Beginning Farmer Series will assist you in building a network of people and provide the tools you need to increase your management and business skills!

In this series you will learn about: addressing the realities of starting a farm, assessing your farming assets, defining your goals, and creating a feasible plan to achieve those goals. This 8 week virtual series will start January 12 on Thursday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30pm EST.

Pre-registration is required with payment due by January 4, 2023, 11:59 pm EST.

The program fee of $75 is payable by credit card on our secure server.

  • Session 3 –Biophysical Assets -1/26
  • Session 4 –Financial and Economic Assets - 2/2
  • Session 5 –Social-Cultural Assets & Opportunities and Challenges To Your Farm - 2/9
  • Session 6: Setting Goals - 2/16
  • Session 7: Feasible Action Plans - 2/23
  • Session 8: Forming Projects & Wrap-Up – 3/9
