The Noble County Master Gardeners have planned their 3rd Biennial Symposium for March 9, 8:30 a.m. -- 3:30 p.m. at West Noble Middle School, Charger Hall, 5194 US 33, Ligonier, IN. The event will feature vendors and speakers with many learning opportunities for $35 per person, which includes a meal, snacks and all handout material.
The public is invited to attend the event, which is intended to increase knowledge of high tunnel gardening, provide information on diseases identifications and prevention in tomatoes, genetically modified plants and what is new for 2019 in annuals and top plant performers.
The Symposium also counts as five education hours for those in the Master Gardener program, but attendees need not be Master Gardeners to attend.
Speakers include Dr. Daniel Egel and Dr. Peter Goldsbrough, Purdue University, Tony Fleming, geologist and naturalist and Jason Becker, business owner and certified horticulturist.
