If you enjoy gardening and enjoy “Helping Others Grow”, make plans to take part in the upcoming Purdue Master Gardener Course.
The Purdue Master Gardener Program is a volunteer training program which offers an extensive course in horticulture in exchange for a donation of volunteer hours to help teach others what you have learned.
The course will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-9:00 PM CST, beginning January 8th and running through April 2nd. The course will be held at the Vincennes University Gibson County Center, 8100 US-41, Fort Branch, IN 47648.
Participants will be exposed to a wide range of subjects including soil and plant science, diagnosis of plant problems, pesticide safety, vegetable gardening, fruit production, and more.
There is a registration fee of $125 per person. The registration fee covers items such as reference materials, mailings, and name badges. Couples or two family members who wish to take the course together and share reference materials can register for $200 per couple.
