Hosted by Purdue Agriculture, Boiler Bridge is a statewide series of free, open-to-the-public events that help college-curious youth and parents learn more about all fields of study at Purdue University and showcase local Purdue Extension programs.
The 2017 4-H Enrollment time frame is October 1, 2016-January 15, 2017. Enrollment will be on 4HOnline again this year.
As cool weather comes upon us, leaves on many of our trees will start to change from their summer greens to brilliant reds, yellows, and oranges. It is an enjoyable time to be outside and enjoy the beautiful colors. Scientists have worked to understand the changes in trees during this time of year. They have learned about the processes in the leaves that lead to these colors.
Starke County has the opportunity to join other Indiana 4-H members on a "Global Gateway Experience" trip to Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas, April 6-10, 2017. We are looking to send a team of 4 youth and 1 adult from Starke County.
Agricultural producers from northwestern Indiana came to the annual Pinney Purdue Field Day to improve their crop production knowledge.
