With summer right around the corner, it's time to think about how children will eat healthy while school is out.
Playing and exploring in nature can help build a child's confidence, creativity, responsibility, encourages activity, and can reduce stress. Sometimes though it can be hard to come up with fun activities to do outside. If you struggle with ideas we have just the program. Join us Saturdays in June at Ouabache Trails in Vincennes for family nature adventures. During this event youth will get to create projects, play in nature, while learning about our natural resources.
The Purdue Mastering Home Food Preservation Program, sponsored by Purdue Extension, has three classes scheduled around Indiana for 2018
New for 2018, to exhibit beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy goats, poultry and rabbits, all 4-H members in Indiana must be certified through the YQCA program.
While this is a new statewide requirement, it should not be viewed as just another rule, but rather as an important educational opportunity for 4-H livestock members.
