2017 4-H Area VI Youth Development Performing Arts May 13th

9am to 12 noon, 3rd Floor Discovery Hall, Indiana State Fairgrounds

Guidelines

For Piano accompaniment or piano performances, we have a keyboard being provided. Sound system will be provided but the number of microphones is limited, so please plan accordingly especially large groups.

Objectives:

v To provide an opportunity for youth to perform and have fun.

v To help youth identify talents that they may choose to develop.

v To share 4-H with others.

v To help youth and adults learn to work as team members for a coordinated activity.

Eligibility: All entertainers must be currently enrolled in 4-H and be in grades 3-12. Narrators are considered part of the act, so they must be a 4-H member.

Please note: A person whose only contribution to the act is that of being piano or other accompanist is not considered part of the act, and therefore does not have to be a 4-H member. This is because the individual provides music in a similar capacity as a cd provides music.

The winner of each category will be invited to participate in the State Fair or 4-H Round Up event held at Purdue. Because of this reason, all performances and acts must be able to be replicable on a stage.

Cloverbuds/Mini 4-H: This event opportunity is open only to 4-Hers participating in grades 3-12. This means all members of your act or performance must be in 3-12th grade.
