Many 4-H families do not realize the excellent state workshops that are available during the summer that make life time impact and positive changes for youth. Great hands-on workshops that aid 4-Her's in discovering career options will again be during June. The Putnam County 4-H Council will pay 50% of the fee for the workshop. This is also a great way to meet 4-Her's from other parts of the state who may become friends for life.

The 2015 Harris Hall Book is currently available. This contains information on the open class agriculture and horticulture exhibits that can be entered in the Putnam County Fair by residents of Putnam County, Putnam County Home Extension Club Members and Putnam County Master Gardener Members. 4-H Members are encouraged to participate too. Participants, ages 4 thru 2nd grade, will enter exhibits in the Lil' Sprouts Program.
4-H camp is a great opportunity to meet other 4-Hers from Putnam County and surrounding county. Participants do fun activities like swimming, boating, dancing, and science experiments as they get to know other 4-Hers at Shakamak State Park!
