The 4-H Horse and Pony Project provides youth with valuable information about properly caring for their animal. Meetings and activities (such as workshops, horse bowl, & Hippology) provide youth with a fun and hands-on learning experience which develops both horse & pony subject skills (such as nutrition, housing, and health care) and life skills (such as responsibility, decision-making, nurturing, and communications). Skills are learned under the direction of caring adults.

Mini 4-H is a fun and educational program designed to help build self-esteem by
providing youth the opportunity to learn and be recognized through noncompetitive
experiential learning. It also helps develop an interest in continuing
into the 4-H program. Pulaski County Mini 4-H members are those enrolled in grades 1 and 2 on January of the current year, regardless of age.
