The Pulaski County Pork Shack Scholarship is for 2015 Seniors only. This year, 4-H Council is providing their traditional pork shack scholarships, both worth $1000 each. The county achievement scholarships are now provided by the State 4-H program. Anyone who is in grades 9th-12th can apply for 4-H Royalty. Interviews will be held in late April. This is a great experience and helps you to learn more about interviewing, leadership, and communication skills which are all VERY important when applying for admittance to college or applying for a job. Great News!! Pulaski County 4-H Enrollment is still OPEN! So don't worry if you were unable to enroll by January 15 and wish to participate in Pulaski County 4-H in 2015, simply contact the Pulaski County Purdue Extension Office to complete a paper enrollment form and submit the required program fees.
4-H members (Grades 3 - 12) must identify all Beef and Dairy Cattle, Goats, Horses, Sheep and Swine in the 4HOnline system by the species deadline to be eligible for exhibition.
The educational 4-H swine program and related activities (such as workshops and tours) provide youth with a fun and hands-on learning experience which develops both swine subject skills (such as nutrition, housing, and health care) and life skills (such as responsibility, decision-making, nurturing, and communications) under the direction of caring adults.
