While it isn't possible for 4-H and other Extension programs to meet face-to-face until at least July 1, meetings and programs will continue remotely. If your club has not yet met or set a meeting, reach out to your club leaders to find out when you will meet. Several options for remote meetings are available including Zoom, Google Hangouts, WebEx, etc. Many include a phone number so members without internet can connect by phone. Hands to Larger Service Projects Kudos to all of the 4-H'ers, parents, and leaders who are supporting youth in helping others through a variety of service projects. These service projects include the Guillaume Family from Branchville Bunch who provided St. Martin's Food Pantry with much-needed items like canned meat and beans, soups, crackers, canned fruits and vegetables, pasta, peanut butter and more. Leopold Gang and Gatchel 4-H Clubs had several members clean up the roadway in their area.
Who could have imagined how much the world would change since the last newsletter! Change is hard for everyone, and when it does happens, we like for it to occur slowly and in ways that we can control. It's no wonder that we have spent weeks in shock. In person 4-H meetings, programs, and activities are currently permitted once a safety plan has been approved. This requires some planning as the it must be submitted to Cathy Boerste at least three weeks before the event. She will review the plan and send it to the Director of Extension for his approval.
