YQCA & SAFETY MEETING REQUIREMENT FOR ANIMAL 4-H’ers!
All Livestock 4-Hers, REGARDLESS if it’s your first year or 10th year or all in between WILL
NEED TO PARTICIPATE IN: Mandatory YQCA (Youth for the Quality Care of
Animals) training. This will NOT take the place of the Safety/Ethics sessions for Vermillion
Co. 4-Hers in first 3 years of showing an animal. Questions? Call Becky Holbert or Phil
Cox. There is an online option but this should NOT be done until after April 1. Details will
be mailed to 4-Hers in these projects.
ALL 4-Hers showing animals (except dog, cat, pet): Must participate in ONE YQCA
Training. 4-Hers in first 3 years of showing animals: Must participate in ONE Safety
Meeting. Please come to the FIRST one that fits your schedule. Spring sports/activities
often get rescheduled and you may not be available for a later opportunity.

o 6:30-7:30 YQCA; 7:30-8:00 Mandatory Safety Meeting for folks in first 3 years of showing
 Saturday, May 21 4-H Community Building, Vermillion Co. Fairgrounds-morning
o 8:30-9:30 YQCA; 9:30-10:00 Mandatory Safety Meeting for folks in first 3 years of showing
 Wednesday, June 1 at Clinton Fire Dep’t -evening
o 6:30-7:30 YQCA; 7:30-8:00 Mandatory Safety Meeting for folks in first 3 years of showing
 Sunday, June 5 at Dana United Methodist Church-afternoon
o 1:30-2:30 YQCA; 2:30-3:00 Mandatory Safety Meeting for folks in first 3 years of showing
 Saturday, June 11 at 4-H Community Building, Vermillion Co. Fairgrounds
o 1:00-2:00 YQCA; 2:00-2:30 Mandatory Safety Meeting for folks in first 3 years of showing
