Leadership Spencer County Accepting Applications for 2023 Class

Rural communities throughout Indiana struggle to find enough leaders to step up, get involved, and help create more vibrant communities.  Confident, skilled and knowledgeable leaders are needed to guide organizations and communities through challenges they face in today’s changing environment.  For over 20 years, Leadership Spencer County has identified and grown leaders to help address this need.  That tradition continues in 2023 as Leadership Spencer County seeks applicants interested in building personal leadership skills as well as increasing knowledge and appreciation of the local community.

Leadership Spencer County is open to anyone interested in helping make a difference in Spencer County.  The course consists of 10 monthly all-day sessions and includes an opening retreat.  Participants will learn from personal experiences and self-assessments, small group activities and discussions, current community leaders, online leadership webinars, and real-life applications and will gain the knowledge and tools necessary to make an impact on the local community.

The 2023 course will kick off with the retreat on February 16 at the beautiful Saint Meinrad Archabbey.  Sessions will continue monthly through November.  The program fee is $400 and applications are due by February 3.
