Training Program Prepares Private Applicators for Exam

Purdue Extension is providing a training program to help Private Applicators prepare to take the Core Exam and Category 14 exam (for those interested), in order to obtain their Private Applicator’s Permit. The program objective is that once you’ve completed this training, you will register to test on the Core and/or Category 14 exam proctored by Ivy Tech testing center / Metro Institute immediately following.

The training is similar to those offered by Office of Indiana State Chemist staff on campus at Purdue. This program is being offered at no charge, except the testing fee of $55. This training will be held February 25th, 2022 at Ivy Tech Auditorium located at 501 N First Ave, Evansville, IN 47710 from 8 AM to Noon CST. Testing will occur from Noon to 4 PM on-site.

You are allowed 90 minutes to complete each exam, but most complete the exam in about an hour. Therefore, one can arrive at the testing site at any time during that testing window, as long as testing is completed no later than 4:00 PM. To register, first contact Purdue Extension-Warrick County at 812-897-6100 to receive a registration code and then contact Metro Institute at 1-877-533-2900 to register and pay for an exam slot.
