Consumer Education Day

Purdue Extension hosts Consumer Education Day

Purdue Extension in Miami County, in cooperation with the Howard, Grant, Miami and Wabash County Extension Homemakers, will offer three educational sessions during a “Consumer Education Day.” We will offer the same sessions at the same times, in 2 locations! Join us on April 12, 2022 in Howard or Wabash County.  We invite you to attend just one session, or join us for all 3.

The following three educational sessions will be presented:

At 9:00 a.m. there will be a session on “Train Your Brain: Nutrition, Neurotics and Notable Ways to Keep Your Brain Healthy” – In this lesson we will understand dementia, the warning signs, benefits of early detection and diagnosis, and steps to better overall brain health.

At 10:00 a.m., “Autism – Basics, Support and Breaking Stigmas” – The focus of this program is to help families learn some of the basics about what autism is and how you can support family members.

At 11:00 a.m., “Delicious Egg Dishes” – Eggs are a delicious and inexpensive protein source. This program will give tips for buying, storing and using eggs. Plus, learn tips for preparing “fancier” egg recipes – such as quiche, cream puffs, omelets and crepes, etc.

All sessions are free and open to the public. To register, contact the extension office of the location you would like to attend.
