Meet The PEMC Team Demi Vaughn

When did you start working at Extension & what is your job title?

I started working at PEMC in December of 2021. I am a Communications Coordinator.

Where did you go to college and what was your major?

I went to Ball State University and I studied Journalism. I have a minor in Sociology and a concentration in Mass Communications.

What was the "aha moment" that got you interested in working with Purdue Extension?

I was interested in working with Purdue Extension because I love the outreach Extension does with the community.

What is the app on your phone you can't live without?

I can’t live without Apple Music and YouTube.

Who inspired you most in your career?

There are multiple people who have inspired me, but mainly my family has inspired me throughout my career.

What is your favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant's are: Chipotle, BiBiBop Asian Grill, Public Greens, Sushi Bar, and The Cheesecake Factory.

What do you tell Alexa to play most often?

LoFi music playlists for sure

What is one word you would use to describe PEMC?

Pleasant!

I would invite Elaine Welteroth (former editor-in-chief at Teen Vogue,) Oprah (we all know who that is!) and Issa Rae (actress, writer, and producer)
