completed 4-H projects

Want to explore an interest you have and learn skills through hands-on activities? You can in 4-H! 4-H has projects you can complete to develop your skills, have fun, and then show-off your hard work at our county showcase each summer!

To our new 4-H members, families, and volunteers:

Welcome! 4-H is a safe place for you to explore your interests and ideas with the help of caring adult mentors, books/manuals, online resources, and in-person programming.

Youth in grades K-2 will be enrolled as Cloverbuds. This is a time for members to learn the basics of projects. Cloverbuds can enter projects in the Showcase for participation awards (they are not competitively judged) and participation is free! Youth in grades 3-12 will be enrolled as Classic 4-H members, which costs $15/year. If Classic 4-H members participate in the Showcase, they can enter projects and receive feedback from judges. Some projects may qualify to move on to the State Fair.

Joining 4-H for a year costs $15, but we have scholarships available to help. Contact Rachael (see below) about how to quickly apply for the scholarship provided by our Marion County 4-H Youth Development Advisory Council.

Enroll in 4-H using our online system - 4HOnline. When you enroll, you will be asked to select projects you are interested in learning more about. Please look at our 2021 Marion County 4-H Project Handbook to learn about the projects we offer in Marion County. You can select one, two, three, or all projects (although we don't recommend you pick everything!). You will also be asked if you would like to join a local 4-H club or group. Contact Ashley (see below) to help get you matched to a local group!

To our returning 4-H members, families, and volunteers:

Welcome back! We are excited for a another year of 4-H with you. 4HOnline has been upgraded to version 2.0, which means project categories have changed some. Projects available for you to select in 4HOnline 2.0 are in our 2021 Marion County 4-H Project Handbook.

Joining 4-H for a year costs $15, but we have scholarships available to help. Contact Rachael (see below) about how to quickly apply for the scholarship provided by our Marion County 4-H Youth Development Advisory Council.
