Exhibiting Your 2021 4-H Projects!

4-H Members, it's time to celebrate what you have achieved in your 4-H project work this year!

View Lake County 4-H judging results here. As judging continues, more will be added.  If you prefer that your entry not be visible to the public, you can edit the “Enable Public Viewing” setting in FairEntry.  Log into FairEntry and go to “Your Approved Records”.  Select “View in Detail” and then you can edit the settings for each entry.

Please see the updated schedule and entry instructions/tips below.

2021 Changes to 4-H Non-Animal Projects and Animal Poster Exhibits:

  • Check-in: See schedule below for new exhibit check-in dates.  Judging will be closed, i.e. members will not be present.

  • Exhibit Labels:  We will be using pre-printed exhibit labels from FairEntry.  Members can pick up labels at Building Set-Up on July 13 or when they arrive for check-in.  Labels will be the same size as before, 5 1/2” x 2 7/8" inches. Exceptions: Mini 4-H and special exhibits for 2021.

  • Virtual Exhibits:  Members may opt to enter virtual exhibits. To exhibit virtually, members will need to (a) call the Extension Office to sign up by July 1, and (b) upload their photos and/or other required files in FairEntry (be sure to do this before the entry is submitted; once submitted it cannot be edited).  See instructions below or contact the Extension Office if you have questions about which materials to upload.

Non-animal virtual exhibits will be judged with in-person exhibits and may be selected for State Fair. If an exhibit judged as virtual is selected for State Fair, it must be entered at State Fair as virtual.  If an exhibit judged at the county level is an in-person exhibit and selected for State Fair, it must be entered in State Fair as an in-person exhibit.

  • All 2020 non-animal project exhibitors are invited to display 2020 Encore Exhibits at the Fair this year!  Bring in your 2020 exhibits for display in the 4-H Building.  It may be too late for your foods, cake decorating, garden, etc. entries, but we’d love to celebrate your posters, artwork, notebooks, and other exhibits!  Entries will not be judged again; this is just for exhibition.

    • Must be same exhibit that was shown virtually last year (Need to refresh your memory?  The 2020 exhibit videos are still available for view on the Purdue Extension-Lake County 4-H Facebook page)
    • Posters will need sleeves and backing
    • Fine Arts exhibits will need frames
    • Securely attach a 2020 Encore Exhibit label (we will add a ribbon sticker to show 2020 results)
    • Drop off 2020 Encore Exhibits at the 4-H Building during scheduled check-in hours, July 15-17 (for encore Legos and Farm Models, please wait until August 2-3)
  • We invite 4-H alumni to display 4-H Flashback Exhibits. Any vintage 4-H exhibit or record book is eligible.  Please attach a 4-H Flashback Exhibit label and drop off your exhibits at the 4-H Building at project check-in July 15-17 or as arranged with Building Superintendents.  All items must be picked up at the 4-H Building on Monday, August 16.  Not liable for any losses or damages sustained to exhibits (see p. 18 of the 2021 Lake County 4-H Handbook).
