2021 4-H Mini Project Requirements


The Showcase is for 4-H families only and not open to the public.

4-H Mini Projects (K-2nd Grade) introduces families to entering 4-H projects in the Floyd County Showcase in a non-competitive format.


Check in for indoor projects will be Monday, June 7, 5 p.m. -8 p.m. at Newlin Hall, Floyd County 4-H Fairgrounds.

Project check out will be SATURDAY, June 12, 10 a.m. -12:00 p.m. this year.


**Face Covering and Social Distancing will be required to attend in Newlin Hall and arenas.


Mini’s are allowed to show animals, but not auction. It is non-competitive and done before or after the regular show.  If youth want to show livestock, but not in person, please contact the Floyd County Extension Office. 

Need a Mini Liability Release Form (see attached) turned into the Floyd County Office before showing an animal.


Mini’s will need adult accompaniment to show large animals. Mini’s are not allowed to show beef.


In 4-H Online, Mini’s will need to sign up for the Mini-Small Animals project.

YQCA training is not required for Mini’s.


Projects must be completed entirely in current 4-H year.  No part of project may be previously exhibited.


Projects and animals must be in 4HOnline & Fair Entry by MAY 15.  No late submissions are accepted. A Participation ribbon will be given to those projects not in by the May 15 deadline.
