2021 4-H Livestock Requirements and Showcase Information

2021 Livestock Showcase Information.  Youth wanting to show livestock, but not in person should contact the Floyd County Extension Office.

 

**Face Covering and Social Distancing will be required to attend.

 

Showcase check in for Large Animals will be Monday, June 7, 4 p.m. -8 p.m.   Small Animals will be checked in on Tuesday, June 8, 4 p.m. -8 p.m.

 

Animals will need to be enrolled at v2.4honline.com. 

Online Rabbit Enrollment instructions are attached. 

Poultry Enrollment Form is attached below.

Premise ID's can be applied for at https://www.in.gov/boah/traceability-and-premise-id/indiana-premises-registration/

 

4-H Green Folders can be used this year due to Recordbook being updated. The Floyd County Extension Office has green folders available if needed.  Green folders / Recordbook will reflect all the projects taken and exhibited as well as all awards, leadership, civic engagement, community service, animal projects, expenses, meetings and workshops attended that were done throughout the year for scholarships and end of year awards. 

 

For a 4-H member to have the privilege of selling in the auction, they must have at least one (1) non-animal project entered in the Floyd County 4-H Showcase and sign up for Showmanship.

 

An Floyd County 4-H Showcase is scheduled for June 9-12, 2021.  Keep up to date with last minute updates on our Purdue Extension Floyd County Facebook page. Schedule is attached. Showcase is for 4-H families only and not open to the public.

Mini's are allowed to show animals at the Showcase, but not at auction.

 

Resource Manuals are available online or at the Extension office.  Please call before coming so we will have your copy ready.

 

Projects must be completed entirely in current 4-H year.  No part of project may be previously exhibited.

Projects and animals must be in 4HOnline & Fair Entry by MAY 15.  No late submissions are accepted. A Participation ribbon will be given to those projects not in by the May 15 deadline.

* *Please note: Indoor project pick up will be SATURDAY, June 12, 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
