Daily activities will include boating, recreation, crafts, swimming, and LOTS OF FUN!  More details will be released as planning continues.

The information below will be updated soon for 2022.

Camp Counselors: Grades 8-12

To apply for a 4-H Camp Counselor position, fill out the application and return it to the Purdue Extension– Clay County Office by noon on April 5th. You can also email it back to korniak@purdue.edu by the deadline. You must be enrolled in Clay County 4-H!

If selected, you will be expected to attend two counselor training sessions. The sessions will take place on April 22 at the Owen County Fairgrounds and May 6 at the Sullivan County Fairgrounds. Both trainings will be held from 5:30- 8:30 p.m. If a school activity prevents you from attending, a time must be scheduled to make up the information. 4-H Counselors are asked to pay $25 to cover your t-shirt, meals at counselor training, and other camp expenses. The Clay County 4-H Council will cover the remainder of your camp fee, as long as you properly complete training and counselor responsibilities at camp.

As mentioned previously the amount of counselor positions has been reduced, 4-Her's are encourage to take time to fill out your application to the best of your ability. If you have any questions, please contact Natalie at 812-448-9041 or korniak@purdue.edu.

Campers: Grades 3-6

Camper registration will be done through a Qualtrics link requiring: basic camper information, emergency contact info, bunk buddy requests, special accommodations, dietary needs, and t-shirt size. The link will open on April 5th and close May 3rd. Clay County will only have 21 camper slots due to the 50% capacity. After your Qualtrics registration is received by Natalie, she will email you to let you know if you have a confirmed spot or if you're on the waiting list. If you have a confirmed spot the $100 camp fee will be due to the Extension Office in 5 business days. The cost of camp has increased due to going from a 3-day camp to a 4-day and to cover the decreased camper fees from 50% capacity and fixed expenses.
