Exhibit Requirements

 

All Divisions (Division 1 – grade 3, 4, 5,  Division 2 – grade 6, 7, 8,  Division 3 – grade 9 & above) will exhibit one of the following:

  • Exhibit one gallon of your small grain (oats or wheat). Attach to your exhibit an information card which includes:
  • Variety or hybrid and number.
  • Date of Planting
  • Maturity (early, medium, late)
  • Kind and amount of fertilizer

  • The Parts of a Plant*
  • The Effects of Moisture and Temperature on Seed Germination*
  • The Effects of Plant Competition and Growth*
  • The Effects of Planting Depth*
  • The Effects of Soil Types and Growth*
  • Role of Small Grains in the Consumer’s Life*
  • Comparative Analysis*
