The Agriculture & Natural Resources Newsletter is Brown County's source of information regarding county, area, and state level programs. It also provides pertinent and up-to-date information regarding horticulture, commercial agriculture, and natural resources.
The Master Gardener program is designed to help educate the public about gardening through the use of trained, certified volunteers. The program helps participants to grow by providing them with training in horticulture principles. They, in turn, agree to share their knowledge and help others grow.
The following are required for initial Master Gardener certification: 1) Attend all of the classes in a training program, 2) Pass a final exam, and 3) Complete the required volunteer hours within two years from the date of the last training session.
Membership in the Morgan County Master Gardener Association is open to anyone who has participated in an approved Extension Master Gardener training program. Complete certification is not necessary prior to membership. The Morgan County Master Gardener Association (MCMGA) meets the first Thursday of every month at 6 pm.
