Purdue Extension-Marion County Master Gardeners work with staff to design, plant and maintain this garden. It demonstrates how to grow food and ornamental plants. Gardeners can see and learn about plants adapted to Indiana and how to care for them. They can see All-America Selections award-winning flower & vegetable varieties as well as vegetable gardening techniques.
Saturday, October 14, 2017, the Purdue Extension Service of Hamilton County will offer their annual sewing/quilting seminar from 9:00 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 Pleasant Street, Noblesville. A $17.00 registration fee includes a day of presentations and demonstrations on new tools, creative ideas, sewing and quilting techniques; lunch; vendor displays; and more!
Johnson County will once again be offering a Purdue Master Gardener Basic Training Class. Classes are scheduled for Tuesdays from 6 pm - 9 pm, January 9 through March 27 at the Johnson County Fairgrounds in Franklin, IN. The 12 week class provides gardeners with education on gardening and horticulture topics so that they can become volunteers to help others grow.
Johnson County Local Food Summit- will provide networking and sharing opportunities for the people, communities, and organizations working to create a local food system that is resilient, economically vibrant, and diverse.
Marion County 4-H will be issuing membership cards again for the 2017-2018 4-H year. Each member and volunteer will be issued a plastic membership card. These cards will be used for various events throughout the year and can be presented to local business partners for discounts and deals.
