Where: Purdue Extension – Marion County office on the Indiana State Fairgrounds

This course was created for those who are just starting or in the beginning years of organizing a community garden. A community garden might be at a school, church, organization, or in a shared neighborhood space. The key element is that it is a garden that is used by many different people.
The training will help garden leaders organize the community of people who are gardening together and give tips on how to select and maintain a garden site for years to come. Over the course of this day, you will receive training from six educators and staff including Carmen Derusha, George Okante, Steve Mayer, Ginny Roberts, Jeff Jones, and Emily Toner.
If you think this training would benefit your garden, please sign up! Then, we encourage you to recruit one or two other people to attend the training as well to help in organizing your garden community. If you know someone who might be interested in this course, please share this information.
