Join us Thursday, May 26, in Indianapolis for a lunch and tour program designed to support beginning farmers and new urban farmers. The lunch discussion will focus on key farm tools for small, intensively managed acres while touring this urban farm that produces fresh, healthy foods using organic practices. Lunch will be followed by a tour of a thriving urban farm, South Circle Farm, led by farm owner Amy Matthews.
The morning session will start at 10:45 am. During the morning session, you will learn from a panel of farmers about key farm tools for small, intensively managed acres. We will serve lunch at noon and then travel a short distance to tour South Circle Farm for the afternoon session. We anticipate that the tour will conclude by 4 pm.
This program is supported by a USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program Development grant and is free of charge.
