Purdue Extension: Expert Resources for COVID-19

Artificial Insemination Certification Program

Purdue Extension is partnering with Select Sires to hold an Artificial Insemination (AI) class for beef or dairy producers interested in learning about: Anatomy/Physiology, AI Technique, Semen Handling, Estrus Detection/Timing, and Estrus Synchronization program in their herd with hands-on opportunities. Registration is limited to 15 participants and will be first come, first serve. The cost will be $350 per person, payment is required to hold your reservation. To reserve your spot please send the full amount of $350 to “Ohio County Extension Office, 412 Main Street, Rising Sun, IN 47043” Checks can be made payable to Purdue CES – Ohio County. Contact your local extension office for the registration form or see the attachment below.

This course will be held over two days April 17th and 18th, 2020. The schedule will be April 17th from 1pm-9pm with dinner provided and April 18th from 8am-1pm with breakfast and lunch provided. The course will be hosted at United Producers Inc – Little York Stockyards at 10050 East Bush Road, Scottsburg, IN 47170. Please dress appropriately for indoor/outdoor weather as there will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training. Bringing coveralls and boots are highly recommended.
