2019 LEGO Robotics Camp

Jackson County 4-H, Purdue Polytechnic-Columbus, and the Jackson County Learning Center are pleased to present the 2019 Advanced LEGO Robotics Camp. This exciting camp is for elementary school children (grades 3-6 as of October 1, 2018) to learn about math, science, engineering, and technology! Additional details about LEGO Camp are listed below.


The LEGO Robotics Camp will be an advanced camp and will consist of hands-on experiences, guided by Dr. Joe Fuehne, Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering Technology and Director for Purdue Polytechnic-Columbus. This camp will focus on the use of LEGO™ bricks to learn Robotics. Campers will learn how to build a LEGO™ Robot, how to attach sensors to the Robot, and how to control its movement through computer programming.


The cost for camp is $50 per camper. The cost includes access to the 4-H program, a camp shirt, camp supplies, camp materials, name tags, and snacks for every camper. Checks should be made out to Extension Education Fund. Please register by May 1, 2019. Registration is limited to 30 campers.

Parents will be required to provide transportation to and from the camp. The sessions will run from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and will take place at the Jackson County Learning Center, 323 Dupont Drive, Seymour. Snacks will be provided.
