By: Steve Abel, Associate Provost for Engagement, Prof. of Pharmacy

The Office of Engagement is proud to provide you with access to The Guide: Documenting, Evaluating and Recognizing Engaged Scholarship.  This resource was created based on feedback received from our 2017 Faculty Survey on engaged scholarship.  The purpose of The Guide is to foster the advancement of the scholarship of engagement by assisting faculty with documentation and assessment of engaged scholarship. To access an electronic copy, please click The Guide.

As noted within the resource, The Guide has been fully vetted by numerous current and past Purdue administrators as well as academic Deans.  Each Purdue Dean and Department head has received a copy with an offer from the Office of Engagement  to provide support in the form of workshops and mentoring for departments, promotion committees and individual faculty members.  Along with Provost Akridge, we believe The Guide will expand engaged scholarship nationally, starting at Purdue.

As a premier land-grant institution, Purdue is proud to advance its leadership in this important scholarly area.  Please let us know how we can be of additional assistance to you.
