To exhibit livestock (beef cattle, diary cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, diary goats, poultry, including eggs, and/or rabbits), 4-H members must be certified through the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) program. This is an ANNUAL program that can be completed via online modules or in-person trainings. Look in the Cloverprint newsletter and for emails stating dates/times of in-person training. More information about YQCA is available at http://yqca.org.
Here's a YQCA Training coming up in February. Youths should be picked up at 4:45 PM outside the agricultural department (Door H13) next to the greenhouse. This training is designed to accommodate 4-H members from the North Harrison Community School Corporation. 4-H members can pick up a YQCA coupon at the Harrison County Purdue Extension Office. Use this coupon when you register for the class on yqca.org.
