Guidance for Fountain County 2020 Virtual 4-H Fair
To our 4-H members and Volunteers:
Thank you all for being patient with us as we worked hard to provide new guidance for our 4-H projects that went virtual for 2020! We know that this year has had ups and downs, and we appreciate you all being flexible as our office staff and 4-H Council developed a plan of how we would finish the 4-H program year. For the 2020 Fountain County 4-H Fair, we will be hosting virtual judging and exhibition for static projects and livestock projects.
We have attempted to mimic the State 4-H guidance for 4-H project entries as close as possible to make it easier to enter those projects going virtual at the state level also. This will hopefully allow our virtual projects to move forward to state without difficulty for virtual submissions. For the Indiana State Fair in-person exhibition, we will work with all of those selected to move forward to State to make sure you have items and information you may need for State exhibition.
We will be using FairEntry to upload project entries for our virtual fair this year. We have unlocked the picture/files upload option along with video URL submission option for certain projects. You will be using pictures/videos/files to exhibit your project virtually. Please read the instruction we included for how to upload entries (with your files/pictures included) on the www.fairentry.com website.
**Please note that 4-HOnline and FairEntry are two separate websites.
4-HOnline is where you enroll in our County Program as a 4-H member and tell us which projects you’re participating in for the year. Fair Entry is the website where you enter in specific project entries into the class/division/category for your project area. FairEntry is where you upload files/images of your 4-H Project. **Only project entries submitted to the FairEntry website will be judged and exhibited. Please make sure you submit the requested file/image uploads we have asked for each exhibit entry.**
FairEntry project registration/submission will close on:
• Wednesday July 8th at Midnight for all projects
• Project entries will not be judged if submitted after these closing dates.
*You must be listed as “active” in 4-HOnline for the current program year to enter items into FairEntry.*
