Indiana Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area (CISMA) Conference

The 2022 Indiana Cooperative Invasive Species Management Areas (CISMA) Conference will take place as a multi-format event again this year with a combination of in-person opportunities. The theme this year is Invasive Species and Loss of Biodiversity. The State of Indiana Cooperative Invasives Management (SICIM) will once again offer continuing education credits via pre-recorded presentations from conference speakers, to be made available to registrants only. The CISMA are back to meeting together in person this year and the conference day will take place on Wednesday, August 17 at the Indiana FFA Leadership Center in Trafalgar, IN.

CISMA will again be partnering for regional field events throughout the state that will be hosted on either Thursday (18th), Friday, (19th), or Saturday (20th) for attendees to choose from (more details coming soon on field events). These field events will be held concurrently around the state and registrants can choose which event they would like to attend. These events are designed to address a particular restoration issue (urban, rural, forestry, prairie, wetland, etc.), teach species ID, and provide examples of local management techniques. More detailed information will follow soon about each event.

CISMA have several speakers that will address invasive species topics, specifically their effect on biodiversity. CISMA will have some pre-recorded presentations available as well as speakers at the in person conference day.
