Forestry Field Day

The Washington County Conservation Partnership invites all Washington County woodland property owners to attend the Forestry Field Day on Saturday, March 19, 2022, from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm in Pekin, IN.  Field day topics will include a variety of topics related to forest stand improvement, encroachment of undesirable woodland plant species, invasive plant management, and conservation programs available to assist woodland owners.  Speakers will include Ron Rathfon (Purdue Extension Forester), Nathan Kachnavage (Woodland Works & Consulting Forester), Savannah Stout (Pheasants Forever & Quail Forever Biologist), and Ruth Hackman (NRCS).  Light breakfast refreshments and lunch will be provided.  RSVPs are required by Wednesday, March 16 by calling 812-883-3006 ext. 3.  A minimum of 15 RSVPs are needed to host the field day.  Special thanks to field day hosts Merwyn and Connie Fisher.  See the flyer for more specific details.
