"Meat" Alternatives: How Do They Stack Up?

Purdue Extension-Lake County is hosting an educational program, “Meat” Alternatives: How Do They Stack Up?  Since 2015, plant-based meat substitutes that mimic the taste, texture, and appearance of animal products have exceeded 4400 products worldwide.  Knowledge of what goes into many “meats” and whether or not these foods are healthier than animal meats will be the topic of discussion.

CST at the Purdue Extension-Lake County office, 2291 N. Main St., Crown Point, IN. There is no charge for this program, and it’s open to the public.
