Saddle Type Gaited Clinic

Hoosier Stockmen 4-H Club will be holding a Saddle Type/Gaited Clinic on May 12th from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Morgan Askins will be presenting the clinic - a previous Harrison County 4-H H&P member in the Lucky Horse Shoes 4-H Club for five years.

Morgan than became a Warren County 4-H H&P member in Kentucky where she showed her Rocky Mountain Horses and her Quarter Horses. She also participates in breed shows like RMHA (Rocky Mountain Horse) and NMHA (National Mountain Horse Association) including their International Shows. She has participated with AQHA (American Quarter Horse Association, NRHA (Nation Reining Horse Association) and KRHA (Kentucky Ranch Horse Association) shows.

The clinic will cover Tack, Attire and Riding for the Saddle Seat Equitation [walk, trot (equivalent breed gait) and canter] or Saddle Seat Equitation no pattern [walk, trot (equivalent breed gait)], Saddle Seat Pleasure [walk, trot (equivalent breed gait) and canter], Gaited English Pleasure [walk, slow gait and fast gait] and Gaited Western Pleasure [walk, slow gait and fast gait]. If time permits, we will cover Saddle Type Halter and Showmanship.

All 4-H members interested in learning about horse and pony 4-H are invited! All H&P 4-H members are invited!
