YQCA Certification Training

To exhibit beef cattle, dairy cattle, swine, sheep, meat goats, dairy goats, poultry (including eggs), and/or rabbits, 4-H members MUST be certified through the Youth for the Quality Care of Animals (YQCA) program. This is an ANNUAL program that can be completed via online modules or in-person trainings. Look in the Clover Print newsletter, facebook, website, and for emails stating dates/times of in-person training. More information about YQCA is available at http://yqca.org. Failure to complete the YQCA certification will result in ineligibility to exhibit your animal(s) and an incomplete project. If enrolled in multiple species projects, only one YQCA certification is needed.

YQCA certifications have been set up for Harrison County for 2022. YQCA is required for all youth in the livestock program and is a completion requirement.

FFA Chapter advisors will also host YQCA classes at those respective schools. Please check with your FFA advisor to receive those dates and times. You may also be certified through another Indiana 4-H County that offers trainings or you may complete the training online.

You must register BEFORE you attend your certification through YQCA.org. You must have your coupon to sign up. You will use your 4HOnline profile and password. Do not sign in independently. After you have completed your YQCA certification, you may long in to YQCA.org and print your certificate approximately 24 hours after your class.
