Fish Health Training for Indiana Fish Farmers
Due to a grant funded project by the North Central Region Aquaculture Center (NCRAC), six free hands-on fish health workshops focused on prevention, detection, and assessment of fish diseases, and biosecurity practices are being offered throughout the Midwest. The upcoming workshop is located in West Lafayette, Indiana and will be delivered in a one-day session, lasting 6 hours.
Workshop topics will include:
- Fish necropsy
- Fish health assessment
- Basic microscope work
- Water quality and prevention
- Connecting with broader fish health infrastructure
- Collecting and sending disease fish for laboratory diagnosis
- Capturing images for disease identification
Space will be limited to approximately 25 people, selected on a first-come, first-served basis, with priority to fish farmers operating in the selected state. Apply quickly using the event registration form before spaces fill up! Application will be open until April 15, 2026.
