4-H and FFA Members compete as a team or individual. Activities include identification of various livestock production related topics. Includes individual and team activities.
Milk Quality and Products CDE
This event is open to 4-H and FFA members and is designed to teach youth skills necessary in the dairy foods career area. Youth will identify cheese, off flavors in milk, evaluate ice cream, problem solve, identify milk fat content in products, perform a California Mastitis Test, and will complete a knowledge exam.
Meat Judging CDE
4-H and FFA Members compete as team or individual. Activities differ between 4-H and FFA divisions, but include placing classes, retail meat ID, oral reasons (4-H), meat industry quiz and formulation (FFA).
