Ag and Natural Resources in Washington County
The Washington County Farmers’ Market will start the 2022 season on Saturday, May 7, 2022 and will continue each Saturday through October from 8:30 am – 12:00 pm at the Washington County Justice Center parking lot at 801 Jackson St. in Salem, IN. When produce is plentiful, the market may open from 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday evenings. The vendor fee is $50/vendor if paid before the first day of market and $60 if paid after, an additional $30 fee will be collected from vendors that do not have their own liability insurance policy. Vendors should refer to the attached vendor contract for more information. Completed contracts, copies of liabilities policies, and payment should be taken to the Purdue Extension – Washington County office (806 Martinsburg Rd., Suite 104 in Salem).

Purdue Extension – Washington County is updating the Washington County Local Food Guide. All Washington County farms and businesses selling local products are encouraged to include their information in the 2022 guide. To be included, farms and businesses must complete and return the 2022 Washington County Local Foods Form by Monday, May 16, 2022. The form is available at the Extension office, online at https://bit.ly/wclocalfoodguide, or by printing the attached pdf. Completed forms can be mailed or delivered to the Extension office (806 Martinsburg Rd., Suite 104 in Salem) or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org.
