Research your family history! Genealogy is the "how to" on documenting your heritage through ancestral listing. The project can be done as an individual, but we encourage you to ask your family members for help. Discover where your ancestors resided, traveled, and developed some of your family traditions.

How can you showcase what you learned?
What are the guidelines for showcasing/ exhibiting your project at the fair?
exhibit guidelines:
  • Cloverbud 4-H members: Research your family history. Possible activities include, but are not limited to:
    • A basic family tree in words, pictures, or drawings.
    • Information about a relative you have researched.
    • A map showing where your have family living in the United States or world.
    • A poster or notebook explaining a family tradition.
      • Note: A reference list must be included with your poster. 
  • Classic 4-H members: Many forms are available for free to download to help you. See below.
