Arts & Crafts, Construction and Architectural Replica

Allows youth to learn life skills and grow in project knowledge while expressing creativity when designing replicas. Exhibits can include farm scenes, town models, building replicas, or similar items and can be constructed from building blocks (legos), erector sets, or other materials.  The product should be constructed to scale as much as possible.  You should consider covering the exhibit with a clear covering.

What are the guidelines for showcasing/ exhibiting your project at the fair?

Exhibit guidelines

  • Cloverbud 4-H members: Create and enter any piece of art or a craft, limit 4 entries total in any of the categories.
  • Classic 4-H members: Note: You may enter as many projects as you want, but consider which of your pieces you are most proud of and want to showcase. Create and exhibit age/grade appropriate artwork.

Note: If multiple pieces make up the exhibit, a photograph of the complete exhibit should be attached so the total exhibit can be displayed. For safety purposes any craft exhibit that resembles a sword, knife, or look-a-like weapon will be judged but will not be displayed.

Judges evaluating exhibits should recognize individual differences and creativity, therefore using information in this document as a guide rather than a requirement.
