Welcome to 4-H in Daviess County!

As the largest youth development program in the nation, 4-H is 100+ years old.

4-H programs, conducted by Purdue Extension, operate in each of Indiana’s ninety two counties. The 4-H program provides opportunities youth in grades K-2/Mini 4-H and for youth in grades 3-12.

4-H experiences provide hands on learning as guided by adult staff and volunteers through after school programs, 4-H camps, award trips and 4-H community clubs.

4-H is for youth from towns/cities as well as from rural communities.

Enroll Now in 4-H for 2021 - 2022

Early enrollment maximized all the experiences, trips, and opportunities that 4-H has to offer.

Enrolllment is easy as  1,  2,  3

 
1. Enroll on or after October 1, 2021 at 4-H Online 
  • Guide to enrolling as a NEW youth member
  • Guide to re-enrolling a Youth member

 

 2. Program Fees For Daviess County
       If, assistance is needed for program fees, please call the office, 812-254-8668.

 

  • Grades K - 2 - $5.00 per member for the year
  • Grades 3 - 12 - $20.00 per member for the year
  • Family maximum is $60 per family
3. Enjoy all 4-H has to offer while obtaining friends, skills & knowledge for a lifetime.

4-H Scholarships - not just for seniors

Scholarship applications can be fearful, stressful and sometimes a bit confusing.   Please don't fret!  The 4-H Extension Staff is here to assist you every step of the way.  Should you have any questions, need help with finding information or proof reading, please contact the office today, 812-254-8668! 

 

  • REMINDERS for Scholarships
    • 4-H Scholarships will be available to start working on as of October 1, 2021.
    • 4-H members may apply for the 4-H Accomplishment scholarship their Sophomore year!
    • 4-H scholarships are due January 25, 2022

Trick or Treat - October 31, 2021 - 4-H will participate in the Drive-thru event at Eastside Park in Washington. 

  • 5:00 PM - 8 PM or until candy is gone.
  • This is a drive-thru event and all attendees must remain in their vehicles at all times

Event is hosted by Washington Parks & Recreation

 

NOVEMBER

Nov. 9 - Board Of Directors meeting,  7 pm at the 4-H exhibit building

Nov. 16 - 4-H awards, Choice awards and Ach. medals presentations,  

    6:45 – 7:15pm, – 4-H Exhibit bldg.

Nov. 16 - 4-H Leaders update and training meeting 7:30pm, Exhibit Bldg.

Nov. 18 – In-person volunteer training, 6:30 pm, Exhibit Bldg.

                Livestock committee meetings, 7:30 pm, Exhibit Bldg.

Nov. 30 – Blood Drive in Honor of Tara, 4-H Exhibit bldg., 1-7 pm

The Indiana 4-H Youth Development Program has a variety of involve​ment opportunities available. We rely heavily on adults who care about the development of youth across the state in order to deliver positive youth development experiences to our youth. All volunteers must pass a background check and participate in training provided by your County 4-H Educator.
