Poverty Simulation

February 4, 2020
Poverty Simulation

32.9 million Americans, 11.7 million of whom are children under the age of 18, live in poverty every day

It is difficult for those who have enough to truly understand the situations that families living in poverty experience every day- the decisions they have to make, and the fears and frustrations they feel.

Learn what you can do to make a difference.

This experience will help you begin to understand what it might be like to live in a typical low-income family trying to survive month to month. It is a simulation, not a game. Take a couple hours to put yourself in the shoes of someone living in poverty and understand what it is like.

February 12th

9:00 AM to 11:00 AM

Harrison County Purdue Extension Office

RSVP by calling 812-738-4236 or email Annette Lawler at aclawler@purdue.edu.
