When one school in Adams County closes due to inclement weather, all 4-H and Extension meetings scheduled for that day will also be cancelled. If schools close due to fog and the fog dissipates by evening, please check with the Extension Office to verify whether or not meetings will continue as scheduled. The Adams County Crops Committee and the Adams County Pork Producers are offering scholarships to high school seniors in Adams County intending to study agriculture beyond high school in a two or four year college program. Special consideration is given to those who have been active in showing swine as a 4-H project for the pork producer scholarship.
Bridges Out of Poverty is a powerful model for economic and social change and stability. It helps education, social, health and legal professionals redesign programs to better serve their clientele. This program builds skill sets for management to help guild employees that are struggling. Through this program, clientele increases the likelihood of moving from welfare to work.
