The 2017-18 Indiana Beef Cattle Association (IBCA) and Purdue Extension Area 11 regional beef meeting is scheduled for January 4, 2018, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
The annual Indiana Small Farm Conference and trade show will take place on March 1-3. Registration is now open.
"The opioid crisis has greatly affected rural communities," said Angie Abbott, associate director of Purdue Extension and program leader for Health and Human Sciences Extension. "We see this symposium as a way to build awareness and forge effective partnerships among organizations and individuals to address this dire public health emergency."
The Adams County Cooperative Extension Service was able to provide the 2017 Adams County Soybean Test Plots. We want to thank all the agricultural cooperators for their quality work on the plots and especially the seed companies for their support.
For many, if not most 4-H youth, the culmination of the program year focuses on project evaluation, or what is commonly known as 4-H project judging. By way of a judges clinic held in Northeast Indiana, the pool of volunteers enlarges and adds to the diversity of adults volunteering to positively influence youth.
For many youth in grades 3-6, summer camp is often their first educational experience away from home. It may also be the first time they experience a supportive relationship with an older teen serving as their counselor. Younger youth and teens both developed life skills at this summer's 4-H camp!
